St. John has been richly blessed with classrooms, a spacious gymnasium, locker rooms, a media center, a computer lab, and an art room.  SMART boards have been installed in 1st through 8th grade classrooms as well as the computer lab and media center.

St. John offers a fenced-in playground area, complete with a modern play structure by “GameTime” installed in 1999, basketball hoops, and an athletic field for softball and soccer.

St. John Lutheran School Food Service Department participates with the National School Lunch Program through the Michigan Department of Education USDA Child Nutrition Program.  This means that the food service department offers nutritional, well-balanced, well-portioned healthy snacks and lunches.  Participating with these federal programs not only ensures well-balanced meals for students, but allows us to make menu substitutions for a student with a documented medical statement form, and offers meals for free or at a reduced price, depending upon income level.  Contact the school office for more information.

St. John is serviced by the Rochester Community School transportation system.  Bus service is available to those students residing within the Rochester Community School district.

St. John offers a school store, in which a limited inventory of necessary school supplies (paper, pencils, notebooks, etc.) is maintained.  The school store is open daily before school begins.

St. John offers (on a fee basis) a before and after-school Care Room that is supervised by trained adults.  Children may be dropped off at school as early as 7:00 a.m., and are welcome to remain in Care Room until 6:00 p.m. 

St. John offers a secure, centrally-locked facility to ensure your child’s safety.  All visitors to the school must first report to the school office.

St. John conducts schoolwide fire, emergency, and severe weather evacuation drills as required by law.
