Hypertension (high blood pressure) is the most common chronic disease in the U.S. Knowing your blood pressure is the first step in preventing a stroke, heart attack, or kidney and eye damage. Stop by the Church Library between Sunday services on select Sundays, get your blood pressure checked by medical personnel, and learn simple ways to prevent or control hypertension.
(The screenings are usually, but not always, held on the 2nd Sunday of the month between September and May. Please check the web calendar for exact dates.)
