The Lutheran Mustangs is a new 4th-8th grade tackle football program with students from Immanuel, Macomb; St. John, Fraser; St. John, Rochester; St.  Peter, Eastpointe; St. Peter, Macomb; and Trinity, Clinton Twp.  Teams are divided into 4th grade, 5th-6th grade and 7th-8th grade and compete in the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) throughout Saturdays this fall.  The combined-school concept was conceived by a school parent who was interested in helping boys learn football, and about playing the game properly to help prevent injuries, before entering high school.
