Elizabeth finds satisfaction in teaching emergent readers and writers. “Younger children are excited about every discovery. Every discovery is fresh to them and new to them,” Mrs. Nelson says. As a teacher, she is dedicated and effective, always looking to use new strategies and methods. Elizabeth attended Concordia University in Ann Arbor to earn her Bachelor’s Degree and earned her Master’s Degree at Oakland University. The teacher mentor for the Parent-Teacher League, Elizabeth frequently provides parent workshops at St. John. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, gardening, crafts and walking her dog, Zoe on the trails by her home.
