Students from St. John on 2017 LHNW Homecoming Court

 

 

Several students from the St. John family were on the Homecoming Court this past Friday, October 7, 2017 at Lutheran High School Northwest. St. John graduates Luke Hammett (2014) and Emma Weber ('2014) were on the court as Olivia Rice from St. John was also on the court.  Luke was named Homecoming King and Olivia was named named Homecoming Queen at the halftime of Friday's football game. Jenna Wilusz (2013) was present to turn over the crown to Olivia. Great job to the LHNW football team on a homecoming victory! 

Jack Crandall (St. John 2013) named Valedictorian for Lutheran High School Northwest Class of 2017 

Congratulations to Jack Crandall on being named Valedictorian of the Class of 2017 at Lutheran High School Northwest.. Jack is a 2013 graduate of St. John Lutheran School, where he also earned Valedictorian honors of his 8th grade class. He has been accepted into the Honors College at Michigan State University. Rebecca Sturges from Faith Lutheran Church in Troy also earned Valedictorian honors.

The 2017 LHNW Salutatorian is Faith Craig, who is also from the St. John family.  Faith plans to attend Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida and major in Aeronautical Engineering.  

We give thanks and praise to God for these students and for all of the 2017 graduates!

 

Shane McCatty to Lead New Baseball Team  

A 2001 graduate of St. John Lutheran School, Shane McCatty has been named the manager of the new "Westside Wooly Mammoths" team for the United Shore Professional Baseball League.  Click here to read more.

 

Jenna Wilusz Wins National Art Contest 

Jenna Wilusz, a recent Alumnus, won an art contest open to all High School students in District 8 in Michigan, and her artwork is on display in Washington, DC. Click here to read more!
