Each weekend, we publish an all-in-one publication called The Connection. In addition to worship information, the Connection is full of news, upcoming events, ways to get involved, opportunities to serve, and more. Stay connected with what's happening at St. John and make sure to contact us if you have any questions or need more information!
Care & Support
Sometimes, living in this sinful world brings deep pain and prolonged suffering to our lives. It is during these times that we can often feel isolated and alone in facing our struggles. Our merciful Savior calls on us to bear one another’s burdens [Galatians 6:2] and tenderly invites us to cast our burdens on Him [Psalm 55:22]. If you are in a situation where you could benefit from counsel and support, our pastoral staff stands ready to provide care and guidance. When needed, we can also provide referral to a qualified professional Christian counselor. Always feel free to schedule a confidential appointment with our pastoral staff by calling the pastoral office at 248-402-8020.
Our congregation’s Stephen Ministry equips lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregation who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. For more information on receiving Stephen Ministry care at St. John, please contact Pastor Steve Grafe at 248-402-8020.
This 13-week support group occurs twice each year. Each week, grief-related issues are addressed through DVDs and discussion. Come to any or all sessions. For more information, please contact Linda Baroli at 248-895-0310.
Love For Others Fund
This ministry is designed to help members of our congregation and community who have fallen upon times of financial distress due to job loss or other unusual circumstances. The fund provides assistance with basic needs such as food, housing, medicine, and utilities. Love for Others is funded solely by gifts from St. John members. For more information, please contact our Director of Missions and Ministries, Jennie Eller
St. John Foundation
Established in 1987, the St. John Foundation is a perpetually growing endowment. The assets are invested, and the principal is never spent. Income generated from the interest, dividends, and capital gains are distributed annually to support St. John Church & School ministries, including community outreach programs.
The Foundation is supported entirely through gifts and donations from the congregation and community and does not receive any funds from the annual budget. The Foundation's Board of Governors is elected by the St. John congregation and is responsible for the management, allocation, and distribution of funds.
